Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have a very small amount of Irish in me (an Irish great-grandmother on my dad's side), despite my green eyes and (artificially) red hair. However, I do like wearing green, and St. Patty's Day is a good excuse.
Round two for this little pouffy skirt, mixed with a few of the greens in my wardrobe (I have a lot more, but it's packed away with my spring/summer stuff). The jacket is a delicious chartreuse green, and was last worn here in the June 2012 30 for 30 capsule (I know! I'm as shocked as you!). Wow, I really don't wear this enough!
I turned the cuffs under today, to make the sleeves bracelet-length (for showing off a bracelet, naturally!).
The sweater underneath it is a 100% cashmere one, last worn way down at the bottom of this post back in November 2012, with my barnyard skirt.
The skirt behaved admirably again today - I did like it with a bit of a heel, and with the fitted sweater and the jacket worn open. I first wore it here earlier in March.
The stuff:
My fuzzy Kermit shoes stole the show today! I last wore them a full year ago, here, for last St. Patty's Day. I think I need to wear them a little more than that!
Let's enjoy their green (and purple-lined!) splendour just a bit more, shall we?
"There's no place like my closet! There's no place like my closet!" Yes, they came with the turquoise stones and ribbon on the toes.
Green bling:
The unlucky charms here are the necklace stones and metal, which made a big dark V mark on the front of my cashmere sweater (unhappy face!), but I've washed it carefully and I think I got it all off. The real lucky charms are my wonderful vintage bracelet from Mom and my Wendy Brandes ring.
Jacket (Alison Wonderland, consignment), sweater (Daniel Bishop, consignment), skirt (Quillaree, consignment), shoes (Poetic License), necklace (vintage fair), bracelet (vintage 60s, Mom's), earrings (local), Fulvia Ring (Wendy Brandes).
