As someone so thoughtfully reminded me, the solstice is coming and soon it will start to get lighter in the morning. But for now...
Eeek! Scary Sheila! This is my lovely hand-sewn sequin and beaded skirt that I bought back here in July for $19.99 at The Patch (there's a much better picture of it in natural light at that link). It's by Beaded Drama (hee hee) and it's from the 80s. I got a lot of compliments on it today - it really sparkled up the office!
I'm wearing my lovely grey wool boots again, last seen here on Friday (2nd outfit) with my mullet coat and green dress. I have purple tights on, which are visible in the top photo.
The sweater is a simple navy blue 100% cashmere one by Land's End. I bought it in December 2009 (first worn here with a red plaid skirt) for $38 at My Sister's Closet. I wore it again in January 2011 for my very first WW meeting as a leader...and I think that's it! Wow, I'm really shocked. Of course, it's a fall/winter only item, but to have this amazing basic in my wardrobe (in a neutral) and to not even wear it!
This sweater is the reason I did this year-long capsule challenge: to rediscover some of the basics in my wardrobe, and to get more wear out of the superb quality items I do have.
Off to WW!
Sweater (Land's End, consignment), skirt (Beaded Drama), boots (Prepare Volunteers, Fluevog), necklace (consignment), earrings (Le Chateau).
